Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Bass (ranked 25301 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Walker (ranked 5885 p4p, 0 weight class). Robbie Walker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Calvin Bass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robbie Walker! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker with a poor takedown and Bass counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bass landing knees to the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bass could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bass. Bass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Walker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bass defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bass counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Walker! Walker is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Walker throws Bass to one side and escapes!
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker with a lazy takedown attempt and Bass decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Walker's guard. Bass is standing up over Walker. Walker looks to escape but Bass dives into side control.
Calvin Bass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Walker. Bass grinds an elbow into Walker's temple. Bass wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Walker, who protects the arm well. Walker tries to buck Bass off but Bass is having none of it. Walker struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Bass cracks Walker with a big right hand but Walker just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Walker tries to escape but Bass is in control. Bass working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Walker is trying to control Bass's posture but Bass avoids it. Bass working the head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bass staying calm. Bass seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Walker for as long as he can get away with. Walker wants to get back to his feet. Bass looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Walker is avoiding damage well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bass tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bass has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Walker tries to control but Bass manages to take his back. Walker tries to escape but Bass has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Walker wants to control his opponent's hands but Bass gets his hands free. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bass has good solid back control here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Calvin Bass dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Walker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bass counters with a straight right hand. Walker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Walker misses with a takedown and Bass counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Walker! Calvin Bass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Walker. A lull in the action here as Bass stalls from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walker seems a little lost for a moment, as Bass dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker wants to control but Bass postures up. A lull in the action here. The strikes coming from Bass are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Walker tries to buck Bass off but Bass is having none of it. Bass is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Bass has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Walker looking for a sweep but Bass has passed into full mount! Oh no! Bass is landing with some decent strikes but Walker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bass tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Walker in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Walker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bass content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Bass connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bass unloading with bombs! Bass is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Walker can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Bass controlling the position easily from mount. Walker is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bass controlling from mount. Bass landing shots from mount. Bass is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walker can do to turn this around? Bass landing strikes, looking to finish! Walker is looking to get to half guard. Walker taking shots to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bass lands a big elbow. Bass working for a submission but Walker is keeping him at bay. Bass controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Calvin Bass dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Walker forces Bass back against the cage and clinches. A shot in the inside from Bass. Bass is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Bass tries to keep at a distance but Walker has taken the fight into the clinch. Bass lands a left hand.
Walker jumps guard but Bass stands there with Walker around his waist. Walker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Walker. Walker letting Bass take a breather here. Walker looking for a takedown. A nice left hand lands by Bass.
Bass throws a punch but it's blocked by Walker.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Walker backwards. Bass with a knee to the head.
Walker prevents the takedown attempt.
Walker goes for a takedown attempt but Bass pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Calvin Bass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Walker. Walker misses with a double jab.
Bass attempts a counter takedown but Walker avoids it well and moves away. Walker clinches with his opponent.
Walker pulls guard. Calvin Bass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bass doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bass manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bass lands a couple of digs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker trying to control the position.
Bass is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Walker is looking to stand up but Bass isn't so interested in that idea. Walker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Walker throws a sloppy head kick and Bass counters with a nice double leg into side control. Walker won't be happy with that. Walker wants to get back to his feet but Bass is dominant here and he's now got Walker's back! Walker trying to control the hands but Bass won't let him. Bass sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Walker taps out!
