The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corcu throws a head kick that misses.
Corcu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Corcu showed some decent athleticism there.
Gay is staying active underneath Corcu, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gay slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gay tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Corcu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Gay really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Corcu wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Gay's closed guard. He's half up but Gay has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Gay pivots and extends the arm, Corcu falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Gay! Well done that man!
