Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chief Killer (ranked 5079 p4p, 603 weight class) and Martin Meunier (ranked 6199 p4p, 665 weight class). The key to victory for Chief Killer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Killer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Meunier! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Killer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Meunier as he jumps to the side. Excellent takedown into side control there by Meunier. Meunier decides to take the fight back to the feet. Killer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Meunier but Meunier pushes him off and we're back to square one. Meunier leaves Killer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Meunier gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Killer wants a takedown but no success here.
Meunier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Killer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Meunier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Killer somewhat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meunier feints and as Killer raises his hands in defense, Meunier changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Killer seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Killer has an active guard here but Meunier has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Killer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Killer looking for subs from the bottom but Meunier mounts him! Meunier mounts Killer! Really nice guard pass there! Meunier working for a guillotine from mount but Killer is in no mood to give up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meunier controlling from the full mount. Meunier avoids the attempt from Killer to control. Meunier with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Killer regains half guard. Killer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Meunier pulls his head out easily. Killer wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Meunier in particular looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Meunier tries to pass to full mount but Killer defends it. Killer wants to improve his position but Meunier is controlling well.

Meunier stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Meunier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Meunier is looking for the big counter here. Meunier closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Killer to the mat! Killer manages to get full guard. Meunier is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Let's hope that Meunier has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Killer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Meunier leaves Killer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Killer with a lazy takedown attempt and Meunier counters into the clinch. Nicely done. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Meunier manages to pull guard.
Meunier is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Meunier has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Killer throws a big elbow that misses. Meunier has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Killer off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Killer shoots in looking for a takedown. Meunier tries to sprawl out of it but Killer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Meunier manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Meunier gets a takedown into half guard. Killer wants to stand back up but Meunier manages to pass into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Killer tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Meunier presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meunier cracks Killer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Meunier raining down hammerfists from mount. Killer is looking to improve his position but Meunier isn't that keen on the idea. Killer is working hard here to advance position. Killer tries to hold on but Meunier pushes him away. Killer can't escape the position.
Meunier is landing with some decent strikes but Killer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Meunier is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Killer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The referee warns Killer that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Killer tries to reverse the position but Meunier maintains control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Meunier controlling from the full mount. Meunier prevents Killer from getting the reversal. Killer tries to hold on but Meunier postures up. Meunier controlling his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Killer is looking to improve his position but Meunier isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Meunier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

They are putting on a show! Meunier keeping moving, preventing Killer from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Killer prevents Meunier from getting back to his feet. Martin Meunier has got the better of the ground game so far. Meunier looking for a guillotine here but Killer defends easily.
Meunier seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Killer wants to control from the top but Meunier keeps moving. Meunier is looking for a triangle but Killer pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Killer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Killer wants to control from the top but Meunier keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Meunier stuffs the takedown attempt from Killer. Killer gets slowly back to his feet. Killer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Martin Meunier has been cut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Killer. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Killer. Killer trying to control the position but Meunier is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meunier manages to get back to half guard. Meunier has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Killer is working away from the top position though. Killer moves nicely into side control. Meunier is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Killer off and has taken his back! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Killer is trying to break free.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Meunier's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
What can Killer do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Meunier tries to keep control of the position but Killer is staying busy. Chief Killer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Killer tries to escape but Meunier has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Meunier is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Killer. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Killer is in bad spot here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Killer trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Killer is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Martin Meunier is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Meunier keeps control of the position as Killer tries to break free.
And that's the end of the fight! Martin Meunier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Meunier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
