Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlie Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and At las (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phelps kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dixie. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
las clinches.
las is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Phelps can't fight it off and eventually las manages to take the fight to the floor. Phelps looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
las drops back looking for a leg! Phelps is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Phelps manages to kick las off! las jumps back into Phelps's guard.
las is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Phelps is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Phelps has escaped and now he's on top!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now las is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
las stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phelps swivels though and keeps the full guard.
las is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
las is pushing down on Phelps's leg trying to pass to half guard. Phelps is fighting to maintain full guard but las has managed to sneak the leg through.
Phelps is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Phelps looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Phelps might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
las frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
las looking for a guillotine from mount but Phelps is having none of it.
las is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Phelps has managed to escape the submission attempt.
las is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! las extends the arm and Phelps is forced to tap!
