Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between He Mu (ranked 654 p4p, 102 weight class) and Neil Gilas (ranked 663 p4p, 103 weight class). Gilas has chosen Remember The Name - Fort Minor as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that He Mu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily He Mu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, He Mu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Neil Gilas! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gilas, right into the meat.
Mu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Gilas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Gilas throws a low kick but Mu avoids it. Mu checks the leg kick nicely there.
Neil Gilas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A good leg kick by Gilas. Gilas lands with a cross.
It looks like He Mu has been cut. Gilas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gilas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mu misses with a body shot
and Gilas counters with a body kick that stops Mu in his tracks momentarily. Gilas tries to land a leg kick but Mu saw it coming and moves away.

and Mu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gilas throws a good cross that connects.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gilas darts in and clinches Mu up against the cage. Mu lands a hook that snaps the head of Gilas backwards. Gilas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mu is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mu misses with a hook to the ribs.

Gilas tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mu's elbow. Mu lands with a short shot to the head. Gilas turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gilas in side control lands a decent elbow. Mu gets back to half guard. Gilas wants to control but Mu is keeping him busy. Mu trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gilas sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mu defending well though. Gilas throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gilas working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Gilas is trying to control. Mu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gilas landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mu avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gilas. Gilas slips a nice elbow through Mu's hands, connecting with Mu's forehead. Mu is pressing down on Gilas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gilas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gilas wants to control from the top but Mu keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mu works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gilas trying to control but Mu is working from the bottom. Gilas is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gilas passes Mu's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gilas working over Mu with some ground and pound. Mu looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Gilas throwing shots but Mu is blocking nicely. Gilas sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mu defending well though. Gilas sitting and controlling from the half guard. Gilas landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mu is trying to control but can't.

Gilas is nestled in close to Mu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ground and pound from Gilas. Gilas sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mu defending well though. Gilas not doing much here.
Gilas is just content to waste time from the top position. Mu takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Neil Gilas dominated that round. The cut man is working on He Mu's cut. That's time! Mu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gilas.
Gilas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mu. Gilas looks for a takedown but Mu sprawls well. A jab lands there for Mu. Mu checks a leg kick. Mu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice inside leg kick there by Gilas. That's going to slow Mu down. Neil Gilas seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mu moves out of range of the leg kick from Gilas. Mu looks to land a body kick but Gilas moved away. Mu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round. A thudding body kick lands there by Gilas!
Mu walks into a left hand. Nice jab there from Gilas. Gilas drops his shoulder and cracks Mu with a huge uppercut! Mu goes down! Can Gilas finish him?
Mu is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gilas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Oh Mu is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Gilas has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gilas postures up in Mu's guard and throws a big left but Mu blocks it. Gilas arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Mu's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Neil Gilas! Our winner, Neil Gilas, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
