Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Can Crushing Maniac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Mallister! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mallister swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Crushing Maniac counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Crushing Maniac stopping the sweep attempt from Mallister. Crushing Maniac has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crushing Maniac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crushing Maniac knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mallister on the ground. Crushing Maniac lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mallister is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crushing Maniac defends well. Mallister looking to control.

Crushing Maniac is in close to Mallister's body, working some short punches and elbows. Crushing Maniac throws an elbow that misses. Mallister uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crushing Maniac's guard. Nice move by Mallister! Crushing Maniac looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mallister is one step ahead there. Mallister wants to pass the guard but Crushing Maniac is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mallister trying to control but Crushing Maniac is working from the bottom. Mallister preventing the sweep. Mallister is fighting to break Crushing Maniac's control of his arms but Crushing Maniac is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mallister looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mallister keeps trying to improve his position. Mallister is stalling in the full guard. Crushing Maniac can't keep his opponent in guard - Mallister advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mallister is trying to control. Crushing Maniac wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Crushing Maniac is looking for a sweep. Mallister is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mallister tries to pass to full mount but Crushing Maniac defends it. Mallister wants to control but Crushing Maniac is keeping him busy. My spies in Winds of Winter inform me that Mallister has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mallister trying to pass the guard but Crushing Maniac defending well. Mallister is controlling the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Crushing Maniac gets a clinch. Crushing Maniac lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crushing Maniac wants to free his trapped foot but Mallister is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mallister makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mallister. Crushing Maniac trying to control but Mallister is working from the bottom. Crushing Maniac with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Mallister not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Crushing Maniac throwing strikes from guard but Mallister blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mallister lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crushing Maniac keeping moving, preventing Mallister from controlling successfully. Mallister wants to pass the guard but Crushing Maniac is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Can Crushing Maniac dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mallister closes the distance looking to clinch and Crushing Maniac counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mallister shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crushing Maniac defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Mallister with that takedown attempt. Mallister throws a predictable looking body shot
and Crushing Maniac counters with a beautiful punch that sends Mallister to the canvas!
It looks like Jason Mallister has been cut. Mallister should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Crushing Maniac gets to his feet and stands over Mallister, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Mallister felt that one! Crushing Maniac unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Mallister from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Can Crushing Maniac!
