Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Hererra (ranked 5961 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Test (ranked 5970 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guy Test! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hererra checks the leg kick. A slow jab from Test misses its intended target. A swing and a miss from Test. Test avoids the body shot from Hererra.
Hererra staying out of range there. A jab lands there for Hererra. Test ducks under a wild hook from Hererra. Hererra looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Test is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hererra scores with a couple of nice shots. Hererra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Test keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Test tries to get to full guard but Hererra has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Test is trying to control but can't.

Hererra prevents Test from improving his position. Test taking some punishment here, with Hererra in his half guard. Hererra thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Test wants to get back to full guard. Hererra drops an elbow to the side of Test's head.

Hererra landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Test tries to roll over but Hererra keeps him under control. Test keeps trying to improve his position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Test can do anything to dispel that myth. Test manages to get to full guard.

Hererra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hererra manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hererra postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hererra throws a big elbow that misses. Hererra is looking to advance position but Test has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Test wants to control the pace but Hererra is squirming around nicely. Hererra working to try and regain half guard.
Hererra wants to hold on but Test pushes him away. Test looking to finish Hererra with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hererra! Test looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Test controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hererra is squirming around, avoiding Test's attempts to control the action. Hererra working to try and regain half guard.
Test lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Test with shots to the head and body - Hererra looks very uncomfortable down there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hererra tries to lock up and control but Test gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Test lands a big shot there that rocks Hererra but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

A close round but Guy Test will probably get the nod. That's time! Hererra's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hererra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Test sprawls well. Test wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hererra gets slowly back to his feet. Hererra has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Test keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hererra tries to roll over but Test keeps him under control.

Test working Hererra over with strikes. Test is trying to control. Hererra wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hererra wants to get back to full guard. You can see the frustration on Hererra's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Hererra trying to remain calm as Test controls from the top position. Let's hope that Test has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hererra throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Test landing strikes. Test is putting a hurting on Hererra here, landing some big shots from side control. Hererra is working to avoid the ground and pound but Test connects with a decent elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hererra struggling a bit here.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Test in particular looking to stall. Hererra is looking for a sweep. Test is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hererra trying to hold on to Test's head to control him but Test postures up.

It seemed like Test was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Test drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Test keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hererra's head. Test stands up over Hererra, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Test working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hererra's head. Test seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Test preventing the sweep.

Test has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Test lands a couple of decent looking shots. Test keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hererra's head. Salvador Hererra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hererra is not content to let Test control the position. Test cracks Hererra with a big right hand but Hererra just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Hererra manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Test is not content to let Hererra control the position. Test moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Test has Hererra pulled in close to control his posture. Test looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Test takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hererra trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Test preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Test has control of Hererra's left arm, preventing Hererra from doing any damage. Test has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hererra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hererra preventing the sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! Guy Test comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Test has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
