The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalashnikov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Noel quickly recovers to half guard.

Noel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Noel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kalashnikov wants to control for a moment but Noel uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Noel is looking for a sweep. Kalashnikov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Noel is not content to let Kalashnikov control the position.
Kalashnikov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kalashnikov scores with a big shot! Noel's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Noel! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
