Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Ray (ranked 6606 p4p, 672 weight class) and Dierk Ueli (ranked 4962 p4p, 590 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giovanni Ray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dierk Ueli! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ray misses with a takedown and Ueli counters with a shoot takedown. Ray fights it but they end up in guard. Ueli not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ray wants to stand and escape but Ueli is having none of it. Ueli is looking to stand up but Ray won't let him. Ueli content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ueli sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ray's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Ueli is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ray tries to get to full guard but Ueli has control of the leg. Ray has hold of Ueli's hands but Ueli slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ueli on the ground. Ueli trying to control the pace. Ray is looking to control Ueli's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ray avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ray has hold of Ueli's hands but Ueli slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ueli drops an elbow to the side of Ray's head. Nice strikes from Ueli there. Ray is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ueli scores with a couple of nice shots. Ueli is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ueli takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ueli connects with a nice short shot to Ray's temple. Ueli controlling the pace. Ueli working over Ray with some ground and pound. Ray looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ueli seems to be working for a kimura but Ray defends the submission attempt. Ray taking some punishment here, with Ueli in his half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ueli connects with a nice short shot to Ray's temple. Ueli is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ueli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ray doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ueli. Ueli is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ray on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dierk Ueli dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ueli slaps away a takedown attempt from Ray, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ray forces Ueli back against the cage and clinches. Ueli is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ray is defending well. Ueli pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ray swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ueli closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ray to the mat! Ray manages to get full guard. Ueli is stalling in the full guard. Ueli working some strikes from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ueli is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ueli preventing the sweep. Ray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ueli can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ueli connects with a couple of short punches. Ueli's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ueli distracts Ray with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ueli sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ueli slips nicely into half guard. Ueli is taking a breather. Ray says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ueli takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ueli connects with a nice short shot to Ray's temple. Ueli is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ueli lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ueli content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ueli is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ueli is looking for a kimura but Ray is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ueli to get the leverage. Ray missing with punches from the bottom.
Ray wants to get back to his feet. Ueli is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ueli is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ueli has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ray is trying to control but can't.

Dierk Ueli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Ueli has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ray is trying to improve his position. Ueli lands some shots froms side control. Ueli moves into full mount! Ueli controlling from mount. Ueli has isolated one of Ray's arms. Ray looking to fight him off but Ueli twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
