Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Wagenknecht (ranked 4557 p4p, 483 weight class) and Doleman Deluccio (ranked 4119 p4p, 441 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagenknecht fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Deluccio avoids it really well and circles away.
Wagenknecht darts in looking for a takedown but Deluccio gets double underhooks and turns Wagenknecht into the cage.
Wagenknecht is trying hard to land a takedown here. Deluccio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Deluccio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wagenknecht. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wagenknecht wants to free his trapped foot but Deluccio is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Deluccio fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Wagenknecht is out of range.

Deluccio throws a series of punches but Wagenknecht avoids them all with ease.
Wagenknecht takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Wagenknecht throws a shot from downtown. Deluccio moves away and avoids it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters circling - Wagenknecht throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Deluccio flicks out a counter leg kick but Wagenknecht steps away.

Wagenknecht fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Deluccio to the ground. Wagenknecht is now in Deluccio's guard.

Wagenknecht passes into half guard.
Wagenknecht stalling.
Deluccio is looking for a sweep. Wagenknecht is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wagenknecht is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Deluccio!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Deluccio tries a head kick but it misses.

and Deluccio counters with a series of strikes. Wagenknecht will be more careful next time no doubt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wagenknecht is defended easily by Deluccio.

Deluccio tries to bum rush Wagenknecht with a series of wild strikes but Wagenknecht uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wagenknecht throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Deluccio tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wagenknecht is in Deluccio's guard.
Ronald Wagenknecht overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wagenknecht is looking to advance position but Deluccio won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wagenknecht tries to pass to full mount but Deluccio defends it.
Wagenknecht is taking a breather. Deluccio says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Wagenknecht is trying for a kimura here. Deluccio looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Wagenknecht wins by kimura!
