Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Loki Aoki (ranked 1185 p4p, 143 weight class) and Henry Marquet (ranked 3061 p4p, 352 weight class). Aoki comes to the cage accompanied by KAANCEPTS. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
No joy there for Aoki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Marquet misses with a wild body shot.
Henry Marquet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marquet throws a shot from downtown. Aoki moves away and avoids it.
Aoki swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Marquet throws a series of punches but Aoki avoids them all with ease.

As Marquet looks to move away, Aoki throws a big counter combo but Marquet just gets out of the way.

It looked like Aoki was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Aoki takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Aoki tries to bum rush Marquet with a series of wild strikes but Marquet uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Marquet uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aoki.
Marquet misses with the combination.
Aoki stalks Marquet and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marquet's face. Marquet staggers backwards, shaken.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Aoki throws a right and a left that both miss.
Marquet is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Aoki had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Marquet takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Marquet throws a jab but it's blocked by Aoki.
Marquet has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Marquet throws a right hand that Aoki ducks under and follows up with a left that Aoki also avoids with ease.
A head kick misses from Marquet.
Marquet cracks Aoki with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Marquet tries a head kick but it misses.
Aoki takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Marquet dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Marquet throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Aoki appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Marquet avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Marquet misses the jab.
Marquet falls off balance throwing a combination
and Aoki counters with a nice uppercut.
Aoki has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Marquet rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Aoki counters with a crisp one two that drops Marquet! Aoki thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Marquet to his feet! Marquet is in big trouble!

Marquet throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Aoki counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Marquet off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Aoki follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Marquet was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Loki Aoki!
An out of breath Loki Aoki thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
