Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kent Guerrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hirai Momo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerrero misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Momo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Guerrero counters by clinching up.

Guerrero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Guerrero has closed the distance and engaged Momo in a clinch.

Guerrero tightens his grip and picks Momo up, before dumping him to the ground. Momo manages to land in guard.
Momo controls Guerrero momentarily but Guerrero frees himself.
Guerrero postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guerrero is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Momo trying to control the position.
Guerrero controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guerrero has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Guerrero seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Momo for as long as he can get away with.
Guerrero distracts Momo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Guerrero postures up.
Momo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Guerrero controls the pace.
Momo wants to stand and escape but Guerrero is having none of it.
Guerrero scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Guerrero slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Guerrero is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Guerrero is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Guerrero postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Guerrero content to stall in guard here.
Guerrero could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Guerrero works over Momo with some ground and pound from guard.

Momo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Guerrero is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Guerrero stands and steps away. Momo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Momo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Momo fails with the takedown

and Guerrero counters by moving into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Guerrero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Guerrero dives in and scores a takedown into Momo's guard.

Momo pushes Guerrero off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Momo looks to clinch

and Guerrero counters with a nice double leg into side control. Momo won't be happy with that.

Momo throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Momo looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Guerrero shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Momo is trying to defend but Guerrero finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Guerrero seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Momo is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
