Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dony Piitpitunge (ranked 3104 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tshilomba Mwekassa (ranked 5287 p4p, 0 weight class). Piitpitunge has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The key to victory for Dony Piitpitunge has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dony Piitpitunge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tshilomba Mwekassa! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piitpitunge has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mwekassa. Piitpitunge is breathing heavily. Mwekassa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Dony Piitpitunge has been cut. Mwekassa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mwekassa just content to control the position. Mwekassa throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Mwekassa wants to stand but Piitpitunge has his arm trapped. Mwekassa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Piitpitunge, who protects the arm well. Mwekassa controls the position from side control. Mwekassa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Piitpitunge is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mwekassa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Piitpitunge knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mwekassa taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mwekassa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mwekassa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Piitpitunge is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mwekassa off and has taken his back! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. I really don't envy Mwekassa right now.

Mwekassa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mwekassa advances position into side control! Mwekassa controls the position. He's bucked Mwekassa off and has taken his back! Piitpitunge controlling well, preventing Mwekassa from escaping the position.

Tshilomba Mwekassa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dony Piitpitunge's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mwekassa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mwekassa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mwekassa throwing shots but Piitpitunge is blocking nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Tshilomba Mwekassa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mwekassa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
