Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Atakan Arslan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arslan throws a sloppy head kick and Kassim moves out of range easily.
Kassim looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Kassim is looking to land body kicks.
Kassim looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Arslan shapes to counter with a head kick.
Kassim dives in and grabs Arslan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arslan pushes down on Kassim's head and hops out.
Arslan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Arslan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kassim avoids it really well and circles away.
Kassim drops his hands momentarily and Arslan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I was talking to Kassim's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

A frustrated look appears on Kassim's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kassim wants to take the fight to the mat but Arslan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kassim keeps control of Arslan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Arslan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arslan is looking to clinch but Kassim is avoiding it.

Arslan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kassim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Arslan somewhat.

Arslan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Arslan throws a big right hand that misses.
Kassim is trying to push Arslan off with his feet but Arslan grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Kassim's ankles and Kassim is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
