The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Right leaves Al Shazlee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Right throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Al Shazlee.
Al Shazlee went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Right throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jake Right seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Right throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Al Shazlee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Right was covering up waiting for the punch and Al Shazlee finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
