Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rancho Wildslap (ranked 3141 p4p, 75 weight class) and Mike Shannon (ranked 6411 p4p, 204 weight class). Wildslap comes into the arena with Get Schwifty blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wildslap misses with a takedown attempt
and Shannon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Wildslap gets a double leg takedown into Shannon's guard.
Shannon keeping full guard, as Wildslap tries to pass.
Shannon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wildslap is one step ahead there.
Shannon seems keen to control Wildslap's posture.
Wildslap forces his way into half guard.
Shannon is looking for a sweep. Wildslap is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wildslap passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wildslap won't let Shannon get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Wildslap avoids the attempt from Shannon to control.
Wildslap postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shannon looks a forlorn figure.

Shannon is controlling an arm, preventing Wildslap from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wildslap is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Shannon is surviving well by controlling Wildslap's body position as best he can.
Shannon tries to lock up and control but Wildslap gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wildslap wants to take Shannon's back here but Shannon is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Shannon is looking to improve his position but Wildslap isn't that keen on the idea.
Shannon wants to hold on but Wildslap pushes him away.
Shannon is squirming around, avoiding Wildslap's attempts to control the action.
Wildslap looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Shannon has given up his back here. Will Wildslap look for the submission or keep pounding away?

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wildslap has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Shannon wants to get back to his feet.
Shannon tries to roll but Wildslap sticks to his back.
Wildslap is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Shannon defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Wildslap keeps control of the position as Shannon tries to break free.

Shannon is trying to defend against the choke here but Wildslap has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Wildslap Tightens the hold and Shannon taps out furiously! Wildslap displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
