Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Reese (ranked 5057 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monster Ripper (ranked 6106 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Reese! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Monster Ripper! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ripper tries to clinch there but Reese circles away.
Reese instigates a clinch. Reese jumps guard and drags Ripper to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Reese has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ripper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Reese has a loose triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ripper controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Reese is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reese is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Reese pushes Ripper off and gets back to his feet.
Reese is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ripper's half guard. Ripper manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Reese keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Reese pulls guard successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ripper trying to control but Reese is working from the bottom. Reese seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reese is trying to control the position but Ripper postures up. Reese looking for a sweep. Not yet Reese, not yet. Reese keeping moving, preventing Ripper from controlling successfully. Ripper scoring with punches to the head and body. Reese bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ripper's guard. Reese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ripper swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reese slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reese stands up from Ripper's guard - Reese perhaps looking for a knockout.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ripper closes the distance and clinches. Ripper is defending well against a takedown attempt. Reese trying to stall but Ripper improves his position.
Reese breaks the clinch.
Ripper lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Reese backs up against the cage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reese. Ripper does a little dance to reset his feet. As Reese backs off Ripper throws a huge counter combo but Reese manages to avoid it all. Ripper scores with a three punch combo!
Nice defenses there by Ripper.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reese misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Reese looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ripper is fending him off so far but Reese persists. Nope, Ripper circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Reese. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ripper throws a wild combination but nothing lands. It looked like Reese was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Ripper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ripper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reese is trying to get back to half guard. Check out the look on Ripper's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Reese can't do much from the bottom here. Reese tries to buck Ripper off but Ripper is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Reese will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ripper rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reese moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Reese has Ripper up against the cage in a clinch.

Reese fails to land the takedown. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ripper! But no joy. Ripper misses with a combination
and Reese counters with a low kick, right behind Ripper 's knee. Ripper lands with a nice combination. Reese backs away looking to recover. Ripper stuffs the takedown attempt from Reese. Reese gets slowly back to his feet. Ripper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reese circles away quickly and effectively. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reese gets in close and instigates a clinch. Reese manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ripper is pushing down on Reese's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reese is fighting to maintain full guard but Ripper has managed to sneak the leg through. Reese wants to control but Ripper is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reese is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Still in half guard, Ripper seems content to control. Reese is controlling Ripper's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Reese looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Reese looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ripper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ripper is figuring out what he wants to do next. Reese gets full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ripper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reese is keeping the position for now. Reese escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ripper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Reese is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ripper is aware though and is defending well. John Reese overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Reese looking to control.
Reese is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ripper is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Reese wriggles free and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ripper drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Reese has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ripper off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. John Reese is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ripper shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Reese napping and manages to drive through into side control! Reese bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Ripper is breathing heavily. Ripper shoots in and drives through. Reese sprawls well. Ripper misses with a double jab
and Reese counters with a right hand to the body. Ripper keeps the fight on the outside. Reese tries to clinch but Ripper is having none of it. Reese tries to clinch up. Ripper drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Reese defends it well. Horrible takedown attempt by Reese or perhaps it was just good defense by Ripper, which made it look bad. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Reese dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Reese tries to close the distance and clinch but Ripper swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ripper swinging wildly here.

Ripper lands a jab-cross combination. Ripper fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. No luck for Reese with that takedown attempt. Reese moves in looking to clinch but Ripper pushes him off. Ripper gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reese to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ripper keeping moving, preventing Reese from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reese is looking to work some ground and pound but Ripper has wrist control. Reese trying to control but Ripper is working from the bottom. Reese in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Reese loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Reese stands and steps away. Ripper gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Monster Ripper seems to be getting the better of the standup. Reese tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ripper paws at him with a jab and circles away. Monster Ripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ripper pushes Reese up against the cage in a clinch. Reese is looking to take this one to the mat. Reese is trying to push Ripper away but Ripper has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reese blocks a body shot from Ripper. Reese tries to pull guard but Ripper won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Reese. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ripper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ripper pushes Reese up against the cage in a clinch. Reese prevents Ripper from breaking the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Reese. Reese is trying to break the clinch but Ripper has him pressed against the cage. Ripper is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Reese pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ripper pressing his opponent against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ripper is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Reese gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ripper takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Reese decides to pull guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Reese holds on and takes a little breather. Reese is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ripper defends well. Ripper is fighting to break Reese's control of his arms but Reese is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ripper decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The fight moves into the clinch position. Reese has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ripper after a bit of a struggle. Ripper is pushing Reese up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ripper is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
And that's the end of the fight! Monster Ripper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Reese has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
