Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Victor Kowalevitz (ranked 6155 p4p, 432 weight class) and Higor Pereira (ranked 7900 p4p, 488 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Higor Pereira was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Kowalevitz shoots in and bounces Pereira off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pereira knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Pereira for a finish. Kowalevitz has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Pereira tries to break free.
Pereira keeps trying to improve his position. Pereira really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Kowalevitz's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position. Kowalevitz looking for the choke but no joy.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Pereira trying to control the hands but Kowalevitz won't let him. Kowalevitz has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pereira has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Pereira is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kowalevitz off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Kowalevitz sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Pereira taps out!
