The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Rivas with that takedown attempt.
Ali is looking for the big counter here.
Ali pushes Rivas up against the cage in a clinch.
Ali has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rivas is trying to keep an underhook but Ali manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Rivas makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Ali feints and as Rivas raises his hands in defense, Ali changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rivas wants to sweep here but Ali controlling him for the moment.
Ali prevents Rivas from getting back to his feet.
Ali content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ali stands up over Rivas, holding on to his feet. Ali throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Rivas is out cold! Ali lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mohammed Ali!
