Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Fist!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cole Neguinho!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab-cross combination lands for Neguinho and sends Fist crashing to the mat! Neguinho follows him down to the mat - Fist regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Fist is rocked!


It looks like Danny Fist has been cut.
Fist is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Neguinho wants to stand but Fist has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Oh Fist is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fist seems to have got his legs back now.
Neguinho wants to advance to full mount but Fist doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Neguinho gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Fist shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Neguinho as he jumps to the side.
Cole Neguinho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fist fails with a takedown attempt.
Neguinho fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Neguinho looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Neguinho throws a right and a left that both miss.
Neguinho misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fist takes one on the button.
Neguinho paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A combination from Neguinho does no damage.
Neguinho swinging wilding here.
Neguinho fails to land with a series of punches.

Fist showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Neguinho.
Neguinho misses with the combination.
Neguinho throws a series of punches but Fist moves out of range.
Fist keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Neguinho.

Fist shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fist was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Neguinho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fist. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fist goes for an armbar but Neguinho turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Neguinho.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neguinho wants to stand but Fist has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neguinho is looking to stand up but Fist won't let him.
Neguinho must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fist has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Neguinho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fist working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Neguinho doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Neguinho manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fist takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
No joy there for Neguinho, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Neguinho connects with a right hand. Fist shakes it off.
Neguinho misses with a double jab.
Neguinho misses with the combination.
Neguinho swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Neguinho looks to land a combination but Fist avoids it well.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Neguinho!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Neguinho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fist moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fist shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Neguinho pinned against the cage. Neguinho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fist takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Neguinho misses with a two punch combination.
Neguinho is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Neguinho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Neguinho gets caught flat footed, as Fist shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fist working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fist seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Neguinho is looking to stand up but Fist isn't so interested in that idea.

Neguinho keeping moving, preventing Fist from controlling successfully.
Fist trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Fist drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Neguinho dives on top into guard.
Neguinho wants to get up but he can't break Fist's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Fist has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Neguinho is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fist.
Fist sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neguinho wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fist keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fist wants to control but Neguinho is keeping busy.
Neguinho prevents Fist from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cole Neguinho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Neguinho throws a nice looking combination but Fist bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fist might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Neguinho stands up from mount. Strange move.

Fist has closed the distance and engaged Neguinho in a clinch.
Fist is trying to drag Neguinho to the mat but Neguinho just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fist wants to sweep here but Neguinho controlling him for the moment.
Neguinho wanted to stand there but Fist had control of the position.

Fist scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Neguinho wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fist slips a jab and a cross from Neguinho.

Fist closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Neguinho to the mat! Neguinho manages to get full guard.
Fist thows a big elbow that misses.

Danny Fist has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Neguinho is not content to let Fist control the position.
Fist stops Neguinho from getting back to his feet.

Neguinho is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neguinho has hold of Fist's hands but Fist slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fist stops Neguinho from getting back to his feet.
Cole Neguinho is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Fist seems to be looking for submissions.

Fist looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

And that's the end of the fight!
Danny Fist showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Neguinho has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
