Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks pushes Alrashed away with a front kick.
Brooks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brooks closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Alrashed's guard.
Alrashed looking for a guillotine here but Brooks defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alrashed controls Brooks momentarily but Brooks frees himself.
Alrashed is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brooks is aware though and is defending well.
Alrashed escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brooks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alrashed has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brooks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Brooks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Alrashed tries to bench press Brooks off him but Brooks keeps the position.
Brooks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ground and pound from Brooks seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

You can see the frustration on Alrashed's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Brooks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alrashed.

Brooks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alrashed sprawls well initially but Brooks persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
