Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 43 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby TupperII! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Forged Steel ! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! TupperII misses with a few strikes there.
TupperII has Steel up against the cage in a clinch.
Steel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. TupperII misses with a takedown attempt and Steel counters with a head kick. TupperII gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Steel counters into the clinch. Nicely done. TupperII is trying to break free. TupperII has Steel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Steel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby TupperII. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. TupperII is trying to break the clinch but Steel is controlling him. TupperII struggles to land a body shot inside as Steel controls his hands.
TupperII wants a takedown.
TupperII could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Steel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
TupperII has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from TupperII there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Bobby TupperII has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. TupperII has his takedown stuffed letting Steel counter with a right hand. Steel drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of TupperII's head, knocking him out cold! Steel is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Forged Steel !
