Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Nemkov (ranked 6257 p4p, 667 weight class) and Rui Rodrigo Germano (ranked 15228 p4p, 790 weight class). Germano has chosen HIM - Don't Fear The Reaper as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oleg Nemkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rui Rodrigo Germano! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Germano throws a looping overhand right but Nemkov ducks down to avoid it. Nemkov is looking to counter punch. Nemkov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Germano sprawls well initially but Nemkov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Nemkov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Nemkov wants to control but Germano is keeping him busy. Germano tries to get to full guard but Nemkov has control of the leg. Germano makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Germano. Nemkov lands a couple of elbows. Nemkov is looking to work some ground and pound but Germano has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nemkov throws a big elbow that misses. Germano is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nemkov defends well. Germano seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nemkov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Germano's head. Germano trying to control the position.
Nemkov looking to pass the guard. Germano is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Germano working a defensive guard here.
Germano manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nemkov manages to get himself to full guard.

Germano seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nemkov is trying to control the position but Germano postures up. Germano wants to pass the guard but Nemkov is keeping the position. Germano trying to control the position from guard on top but Nemkov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Germano won't allow Nemkov to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Germano wants to pass the guard but Nemkov is keeping the position. Nemkov keeping moving, preventing Germano from controlling successfully. Nemkov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Germano's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Germano throws a lazy right hand but Nemkov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Nemkov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Germano shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Germano was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Germano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nemkov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nemkov is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Germano lands an elbow. Germano cracks Nemkov with a big right hand but Nemkov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Nemkov is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Nemkov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nemkov taking punishment in the form of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rui Rodrigo Germano dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nemkov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The fighters circling - Germano throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nemkov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Germano on his heels. He'll look to pass Germano's guard now, I'm sure. Germano is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. Germano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nemkov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Germano working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nemkov. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nemkov wants to control from the top but Germano keeps moving. Germano is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nemkov tries to free his leg and advance position but Germano is retaining full guard. Germano keeping moving, preventing Nemkov from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Germano has his foot on Nemkov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nemkov works his way back into a safe position though. Nemkov trying to control but Germano is working from the bottom. Germano is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Nemkov has his hands clasped together but Germano extends and breaks Nemkov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Germano.
