Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
24 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Strategos Themistokles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Skeet!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skeet throws a lazy uppercut
and Themistokles counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Skeet bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
DJ Skeet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skeet cracks the inside of Themistokles's front leg.
A slapping leg kick lands for Themistokles.
A chopping leg kick lands by Themistokles.
Skeet scores with a nice right hand.
Skeet lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Themistokles motions for Skeet to come forward. Themistokles throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Skeet. Themistokles does a little dance to reset his feet.
Themistokles wants to clinch up but Skeet keeps it at a distance.
A solid leg kick lands there for Skeet.
Themistokles rushes Skeet and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Themistokles is looking to control Skeet's arms but Skeet gets an underhook and turns him. Now Themistokles has his back to the cage.
Themistokles lands with a short punch from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Themistokles lands with a left to the head.
Skeet working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Themistokles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Themistokles takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Themistokles comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Themistokles wants to clinch up but Skeet keeps it at a distance.
Skeet looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Skeet catches Themistokles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Skeet steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Themistokles.
Skeet throws a lazy right hand but Themistokles sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Themistokles throws a lazy head kick
letting Skeet counter with a right hand.
Skeet moves out of range of the strikes.
A little jabbing left from Skeet on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Skeet throws a leg kick but Themistokles checks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Themistokles misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Skeet keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Themistokles.
Skeet with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Nice jab there from Skeet.
Skeet steps into range and cracks Themistokles with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Themistokles flops backwards and Skeet dives into his guard looking to finish!
Themistokles is rocked!
It looks like Strategos Themistokles has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skeet decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Themistokles, up you get!
Oh Themistokles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Skeet throws a pinpoint strike between Themistokles's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Themistokles crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Skeet scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). DJ Skeet!
A very excited looking DJ Skeet made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
