Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Rydeland (ranked 1366 p4p, 171 weight class) and Grisha Kamenov (ranked 2258 p4p, 275 weight class). Rydeland comes to the cage accompanied by Robbery - Not sneak attack. Kamenov has chosen Linkin Park - Bleed It Out as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Rydeland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 11 - 3, fighting out of New York, Grisha Kamenov!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rydeland takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like John Rydeland has been cut.
Kamenov throws a head kick that misses
and Rydeland counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kamenov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rydeland seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kamenov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rydeland misses with a straight left.
Rydeland thuds his right hand into Kamenov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Grisha Kamenov has been cut.
Kamenov throws a body kick that misses.
Kamenov throws a lazy head kick
and Rydeland connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Grisha Kamenov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kamenov.
Kamenov drops his hands momentarily and Rydeland takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A swing and a miss from Rydeland.
Kamenov tries to close the distance and clinch but Rydeland swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rydeland looks to land a combination but Kamenov avoids it well.

and Kamenov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rydeland connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Rydeland blocks a head kick by Kamenov.

Kamenov lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Rydeland dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rydeland scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kamenov doesn't seem bothered though.
Kamenov moves out of range of the strikes.
Rydeland lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kamenov closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rydeland cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rydeland missing with a left hand there. Kamenov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rydeland is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Kamenov throws a sloppy head kick and Rydeland moves out of range easily.
Rydeland throws a hook to the side of Kamenov's head but Kamenov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rydeland digs a good body shot into Kamenov's ribs.

Rydeland lands a slapping body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rydeland lands with a right hand.
Kamenov wants to clinch but Rydeland slips to the side
and Rydeland counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kamenov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rydeland connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kamenov scrambles back to his feet.

It looked like Rydeland wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Kamenov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kamenov is rocked!

and Rydeland scores with a counter punch that sends Kamenov to the canvas! Rydeland smells blood - he's punishing Kamenov with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kamenov has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Rydeland!
