Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Deadly (ranked 1023 p4p, 112 weight class) and Handsome Hagen (ranked 2495 p4p, 259 weight class). Deadly kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bayou. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Handsome Hagen! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hagen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Deadly! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hagen working away. Hagen scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Deadly to see if he's OK. Hagen in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Hagen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Deadly, who protects the arm well. Hagen working the ground and pound from side control. Deadly is not content to let Hagen control the position. Hagen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Deadly sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deadly is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hagen connects with a decent elbow. Hagen scoring with punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hagen fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hagen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Deadly has escaped the position, nice work there. Hagen scores with punches from side control. Hagen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
