Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patricia Knight (ranked 5875 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javie Silva (ranked 5433 p4p, 0 weight class). Javie Silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Knight shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Knight defends well.
Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knight can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Knight gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Knight with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Knight is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Knight gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt
and Knight counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Patricia Knight has been cut.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Knight is trying to pull guard but Silva has him pressed against the cage.

Patricia Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Javie Silva.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Knight is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Knight manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Knight's guard.

Knight controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.

Knight drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Knight jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Silva throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Knight stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Knight displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Knight went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Knight shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Knight was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Silva tries to bench press Knight off him but Knight keeps the position.
Knight decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Silva looks winded!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silva drives through and clinches with Knight against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Patricia Knight will probably get the nod.

Knight drives through with a takedown into guard.
Knight stands up over Silva, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Patricia Knight overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Knight is working Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Knight decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Knight gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Knight passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Silva is looking to control Knight's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted?
Knight lands with a punch from half guard.

Knight scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Knight looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Silva kicks off Knight and gets to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Knight is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
