Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josh Cook (ranked 2491 p4p, 237 weight class) and Mike Sunday (ranked 2790 p4p, 252 weight class). Mike Sunday told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Sunday! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook throws a lazy right hand but Sunday sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sunday lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Sunday misses with a few strikes there.
Sunday throws a big shot that misses. Cook missing with a left hand there. Sunday was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sunday missing with a left hand there. Sunday stuns Cook with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Josh Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sunday on the wrong end of a nice hook. Cook lands a nice hook to Sunday's body. Sunday takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Cook lands a jab to Sunday's midsection. Cook is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sunday. Sunday walks into a stiff left hand from Cook. Sunday bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sunday is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A decent looking cross lands there for Sunday. Cook misses with an uppercut. That's one minute gone in the round. Cook swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sunday. Cook throws out a loose jab but Sunday uses good head movement to avoid it. Cook with a nice cross. Cook bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Cook throws a shot from downtown. Sunday moves away and avoids it. Cook looks to land a right hand but Sunday moved out of range. Cook throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sunday stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Cook fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sunday keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Sunday is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cook getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Sunday is still on wobbly legs! Can Cook finish him? Cook throws the left hand but Sunday avoids the punch easily. Cook cracks Sunday with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Sunday falls to his knees and Cook doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
