Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Anthony Pettis (ranked 3528 p4p, 304 weight class) and Nicky Ryan (ranked 7091 p4p, 472 weight class). Anthony Pettis has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Pettis has managed to clinch.

Pettis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ryan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pettis has managed to get both his arms back between Ryan's legs - danger averted. Pettis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ryan wants to sweep here but Pettis controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pettis stays in close to Ryan's body and controls the position.

Pettis seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Ryan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pettis haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Pettis is controlling Ryan's posture. Pettis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ryan defends it easily. Pettis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ryan defends well.
