Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between James Penn (ranked 2933 p4p, 288 weight class) and Frank Damozzi (ranked 5609 p4p, 502 weight class). Penn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Everything in its right place. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Frank Damozzi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 7 losses; James Penn! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 6 losses; Frank Damozzi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Damozzi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Penn tries to avoid it but Damozzi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Penn to the ground. Penn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Damozzi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Penn to the mat! Penn manages to get full guard. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Penn has the hooks in. Damozzi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Damozzi is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Penn.

Penn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Penn's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Damozzi. Damozzi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Penn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Penn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Penn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Damozzi looking to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Damozzi has his foot on Penn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Penn works his way back into a safe position though.
