Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron McLoughlin (ranked 3177 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eruera Wharerau (ranked 3027 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eruera Wharerau!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from McLoughlin.
Wharerau throws a nice looking combination but McLoughlin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McLoughlin connects with a jab.
No joy there for Wharerau, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McLoughlin misses with a double jab.
McLoughlin lands a body shot.
McLoughlin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wharerau backs up against the cage.
Wharerau falls off balance throwing a combination
and McLoughlin counters with a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wharerau drops McLoughlin with a nice combination! Wharerau dives into McLoughlin's guard, looking to finish!
McLoughlin is rocked!
It looks like Aaron McLoughlin has been cut.
Wharerau is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Oh McLoughlin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McLoughlin is looking to stand up but Wharerau isn't so interested in that idea.
McLoughlin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McLoughlin tries to get out of the position.
Wharerau throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McLoughlin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McLoughlin seems to have got his legs back now.
Wharerau trying to control but McLoughlin is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McLoughlin wants to stand up but Wharerau is controlling him.
Wharerau is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wharerau drops back looking for a leg! McLoughlin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McLoughlin manages to kick Wharerau off! Wharerau jumps back into McLoughlin's guard.
Wharerau decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McLoughlin, up you get!
Wharerau misses with a wild combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McLoughlin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wharerau throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wharerau looks to land a combination but McLoughlin avoids it well.
Wharerau connects with a right hand. McLoughlin shakes it off.
Wharerau falls off balance throwing a combination
and McLoughlin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sloppy strikes from Wharerau. Those never looked like landing.
McLoughlin is looking for a counter combo.
McLoughlin jabs at Wharerau's body.
Wharerau swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McLoughlin counters with a one-two to the body.
Some wild striking there from Wharerau.
Eruera Wharerau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLoughlin scores with a three punch combo!
Wharerau lands with a good body shot.
Wharerau misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A lazy left from McLoughlin finds it's target.

McLoughlin lands a head shot.
Wharerau is rocked!
McLoughlin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Wharerau is still on wobbly legs! Can McLoughlin finish him?
BOOM! McLoughlin lands a beautiful left hook that drops Wharerau. Wharerau tries to recover but McLoughlin is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Wharerau lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
