Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Aspen Springfield (ranked 5102 p4p, 468 weight class) and Rubens Charles (ranked 4085 p4p, 387 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 4 losses; Aspen Springfield! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 6 losses; Rubens Charles! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Springfield moves into range and clinches up with Charles. Charles's coach down at Soul Supremacy Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Charles's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Charles is trying to pull guard but Springfield turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Charles prevents a takedown attempt there.

Springfield will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Charles is trying to escape the mount but Springfield keeps good control and instead manages to take Charles's back.

Springfield is not going to allow Charles to sit and survive in this position. Springfield has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Charles has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Maybe a few strikes would soften Charles for a finish. Springfield looking to break Charles's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Charles remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Springfield will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Charles looking very determined here, making life difficult for Springfield.
