Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Santo Luvic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demichell Savilo! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luvic just misses with a punch to the body.
Savilo steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Luvic. Savilo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luvic's waist but Luvic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Savilo off to one side. Luvic fails with an attempt to clinch.
Savilo drives through and clinches with Luvic against the cage.
Savilo breaks the clinch.
Savilo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Savilo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Luvic eats them both and turns towards Savilo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Savilo misses with a takedown attempt - Luvic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Luvic dives in and grabs Savilo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Savilo pushes down on Luvic's head and hops out. Savilo rushes Luvic and presses him up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A frustrated look appears on Luvic's face as he tries to break the clinch. Savilo putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Luvic in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Savilo stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Savilo tries to pull guard but Luvic holds him up against the cage and eventually Savilo drops back down to his feet.
Santo Luvic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demichell Savilo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luvic gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Savilo trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Luvic manages to pass to mount!
Savilo wants to hold on but Luvic pushes him away. Luvic raining down hammerfists from mount. Luvic takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Savilo can't escape the position.
Luvic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Luvic avoids the attempt from Savilo to control. Luvic unloading with bombs!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savilo tries to hold on but Luvic postures up. Savilo blocking the ground and pound. Luvic manages to capitalize on a mistake by Savilo to take his back! This has been an exciting period of action! Luvic controlling from the back. Luvic lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Savilo hold on?!
Luvic is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Luvic has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luvic misses with an elbow to the head. Luvic loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Savilo hold on?
Luvic lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Luvic looking for the choke but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Savilo showing good submission defense here.
Luvic is landing with strikes. Savilo can't take much more of this.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I would not like to be Savilo right now.
Savilo rolls, trying to escape but Luvic keeps control of the position.
Luvic controlling from the back. Savilo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luvic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Luvic has the hooks in. Savilo is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Savilo prevents Luvic from getting a body triangle. Luvic somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Santo Luvic dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Savilo checks a leg kick. Savilo wants to clinch. Savilo darts in looking for a takedown but Luvic gets double underhooks and turns Savilo into the cage. Savilo tries to clinch but Luvic moves out of range. Savilo dives in and grabs Luvic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Luvic pushes down on Savilo's head and hops out. Savilo lands with a straight right. Luvic didn't see that one coming. Luvic throws a lazy right hand but Savilo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savilo instigates a clinch. Luvic is trying to pull guard but Savilo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Savilo blocks a body shot from Luvic. Luvic jumps guard but Savilo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Savilo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Savilo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Luvic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luvic pushing down on Savilo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Luvic slows the pace down in half guard. Luvic is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Savilo is just riding it out for now. Luvic eventually gives up the hold. Luvic missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Santo Luvic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Savilo is looking for a sweep. Luvic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Well, if Luvic is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Luvic wants to stand but Savilo is controlling his arm. Luvic wants to control but Savilo is keeping him busy. Luvic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Savilo can do to turn this around? Luvic passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Savilo! Savilo is looking to get to half guard. Luvic controlling his opponent. Luvic scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Luvic looking to control and managing it successfully. Luvic's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Luvic fails with the takedown and Savilo counters with a left and a right that stings Luvic. Luvic gets the takedown into side control. Savilo is trying to control Luvic's posture but Luvic avoids it. Savilo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Luvic's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Luvic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Savilo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savilo missing with punches from the bottom.
Luvic is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Savilo is not content to let Luvic control the position. Luvic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Luvic trying to control from half guard but Savilo is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Luvic working Savilo over with strikes. Luvic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Luvic takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Luvic wants to pass the guard but Savilo is defending well. Savilo is not content to let Luvic control the position. Luvic moves nicely into side control. Luvic tries to move to mount but Savilo blocks the move with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savilo tries to improve position but can't. Luvic works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Savilo dodges the ground and pound from Luvic. Luvic creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Savilo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. An elbow from Luvic crashes against the mat.
Luvic has knee on belly momentarily but Savilo bucks him off and regains half guard. Savilo wants to sweep but Luvic has passed to side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luvic is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Savilo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Luvic stands up and beckons Savilo to his feet. Luvic slips under a jab from Savilo. Luvic half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Savilo doesn't manage to clinch there - Luvic circles away.
Luvic closes the distance and clinches. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Luvic effectively controlling the action here. Luvic tries to pull guard but Savilo forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Santo Luvic showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Luvic, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
