Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bone (ranked 4011 p4p, 197 weight class) and Tim Fingers (ranked 6246 p4p, 266 weight class). Jim Bone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Jim Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Tim Fingers!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A low kick from Fingers misses

and Bone counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bone.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Fingers can't break the clinch.
Bone letting Fingers take a breather here.
Fingers drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bone gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fingers is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bone decides to pull guard.

Fingers drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bone!

Fingers is trying to control Bone's posture but Bone avoids it.

Fingers is looking for a sweep.
Fingers is still trying to improve position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bone seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fingers for as long as he can get away with.
Fingers is looking to get back to his feet here but Bone is keeping cool and he's managed to take Fingers's back.
Bone scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fingers is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bone gets his way!

Bone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fingers on the ground.

We've been informed that Fingers has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Bone could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

No joy there for Bone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bone shoots in for a takedown but Fingers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fingers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bone's guard.

Fingers closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bone did well to prevent Fingers getting side control.

Bone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fingers has gone for a leg lock! Bone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fingers's guard.

Well Bone has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
