Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Watsz Mawe (ranked 1310 p4p, 138 weight class) and Harry Daebak (ranked 1743 p4p, 183 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Watsz Mawe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Harry Daebak! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daebak avoids the body shot from Mawe.
Mawe closes the distance and clinches. Daebak misses with a body punch.
Daebak throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mawes head. Mawe has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Daebak uses from the top position. Daebak has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mawe is proving hard to escape from. Mawe pulls Daebak in to control the position. Daebak content to stall in guard here. Mawe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mawe seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daebak tries to stand but Mawe is controlling from the bottom. Daebak engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mawe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Daebak's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daebak controls Mawe momentarily but Mawe frees himself. Mawe connects with a couple of short punches. Daebak wants to get back to his feet but Mawe is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daebak pulls Mawe in close to prevent any damage. Daebak avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mawe passes Daebak's left leg - he's now in half guard. Daebak is looking to escape. Mawe wants to work for an arm triangle but Daebak is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daebak is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mawe lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Daebak wants to control but Mawe is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Daebak is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mawe off and has taken his back! Daebak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mawe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Daebak wants to stand back up. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Daebak wants to stand up but Mawe is stuck to his back. Daebak is not going to allow Mawe to sit and survive in this position. Daebak looking to hold on to the position here but Mawe rolls and ends up regaining guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Daebak tries to stand but Mawe is controlling from the bottom. Daebak is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Daebak sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mawe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Daebak has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mawe is proving hard to escape from. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mawe is trying to control the position but Daebak postures up. Daebak trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mawe's guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Watsz Mawe dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Daebak tries to clinch but Mawe moves out of range. Mawe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daebak looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Daebak wants to get back to his feet but Mawe is dominant here and he's now got Daebak's back! Daebak is keeping busy.

Mawe scores with punches to the body. Mawe is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Mawe gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Mawe gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Mawe apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Daebak stuffs the takedown attempt from Mawe. Mawe gets slowly back to his feet. Daebak throws an off balance right hand
and Mawe counters with a one-two to the body. Mawe needs to keep his hands up - Daebak had a free shot at his head there. Mawe pushes Daebak up against the cage in a clinch.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Mawe is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Mawe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Daebak paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Daebak finds it's way through Mawe's defenses. Mawe lands a glancing blow to the side of Daebak's head. Daebak connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Daebak throws out a powerful jab. Mawe throws a right and a left that both miss. Daebak wants to counter with a clinch but Mawe pushes him away. Daebak throws a nice inside leg kick. Daebak connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The fight stays on the outside here - Daebak looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Daebak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Daebak wants it to stay on the feet. Mawe swats away the attempt to clinch by Daebak. It looked like Mawe was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Harry Daebak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Daebak lands with an uppercut that bounces Mawe off the cage and back into range.

Mawe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daebak but Daebak pushes him off and we're back to square one. Daebak steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mawe. Daebak lands a jab. Harry Daebak seems to be getting the better of the standup. This has been an exciting period of action! Daebak scores with a jab to the body. Mawe takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Daebak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mawe. That did some damage! Mawe takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Daebak has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Mawe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mawe prevents Daebak from escaping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Harry Daebak will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Mawe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Mawe shoots in for a takedown but Daebak shows good takedown defense. Daebak was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Daebak throws a head kick that Mawe semi-blocks.
Daebak throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Daebak throws a quick inside leg kick. Mawe slips a jab from Daebak. Daebak connects with a body shot that sends Mawe's belly button to the back. Nice uppercut lands for Daebak. That snapped Mawe's head back.
Mawe misses with an uppercut. Mawe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daebak connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Daebak, right into the meat.
Mawe walks into a left hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Daebak fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. A good leg kick by Daebak. Mawe clinches up with Daebak and pushes him back against the cage. Daebak jumps guard.

and Mawe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Daebak connects with a solid leg kick. Daebak takes a swing at Mawe's ribcage but misses. Mawe is trying hard to land a takedown here. Daebak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Watsz Mawe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Daebak feints and then cracks Mawe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mawe down. A shot to the liver by Daebak. Beautiful body shot. Mawe tries for a takedown but Daebak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Watsz Mawe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mawe looks to land a right hand but Daebak moved out of range. Daebak closes the distance and clinches. Daebak misses with a hook from the clinch. Mawe blocking some punches.

Mawe is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Daebak lands a shot to the body. Mawe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Daebak walks away with a smile on his face. Mawe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Daebak throws a head kick but Mawe moves out of range.
Daebak fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mawe. Daebak fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mawe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Daebak feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mawes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A nice inside leg kick there by Daebak. That's going to slow Mawe down. Daebak doesn't manage to clinch there - Mawe circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mawe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Daebak manages to avoid it. No luck for Mawe with that takedown attempt. Daebak tries to counter with a clinch but Mawe shakes him off and moves away. Daebak throws a series of punches but Mawe avoids them all with ease. Mawe was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Mawe throws a body shot but no joy. Daebak takes a swing at Mawe's ribcage but misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Daebak throws a leg kick which misses Mawe's front leg but catches the back leg as Mawe tries to avoid it. Daebak fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Mawe looks for a takedown but Daebak sprawls well. Harry Daebak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Daebak connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mawe. Mawe circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Harry Daebak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Daebak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
