Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harkon Volkihar (ranked 3551 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cael Sanderson (ranked 2875 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkihar has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanderson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Volkihar sprawls well initially but Sanderson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sanderson is trying to control. Volkihar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Volkihar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Still in half guard, Sanderson seems content to control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sanderson connects with a nice short shot to Volkihar's temple.
Sanderson is nestled in close to Volkihar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We've been informed that Sanderson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Sanderson is working Volkihar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Oh Volkihar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Volkihar has hold of Sanderson's hands but Sanderson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sanderson scores with a big shot! Volkihar's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Volkihar! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
