Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Pyke (ranked 382 p4p, 52 weight class) and Keijo Tapaus (ranked 851 p4p, 104 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pyke might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Magnus Pyke. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Magnus Pyke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keijo Tapaus! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Tapaus. Nice uppercut there from Tapaus. Tapaus has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Pyke. A big left from Pyke misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tapaus! But no joy. Tapaus lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tapaus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Tapaus works Pyke's body with a nice hook. Pyke scores with a decent looking hook. Tapaus works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Pyke wants to land a leg kick but Tapaus is out of range. Keijo Tapaus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tapaus dips to his left and cracks Pyke with an uppercut! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pyke slips a jab from Tapaus. As Tapaus backs away, Pyke returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Pyke throws an overhand right that lands on Tapaus's shoulder, as Tapaus tries to avoid the shot. It seemed like Tapaus was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Pyke takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tapaus uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. We've been hearing reports that Pyke has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Tapaus connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pyke momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tapaus lands with a shot to the body. Pyke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tapaus. A big right from Tapaus misses. Nice straight punches there by Tapaus. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tapaus. Pyke looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Tapaus throws a body punch but Pyke moves out of range. Tapaus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Tapaus might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Tapaus throws a good cross that connects.
Pyke takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Pyke is rocked! Pyke drops his hands momentarily. Tapaus doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Pyke staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Pyke doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Keijo Tapaus! Our winner, Keijo Tapaus, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
