Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Diamond (ranked 3464 p4p, 380 weight class) and Toshiro Montero (ranked 1990 p4p, 234 weight class). Montero is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Danzig - Mother . Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, King Diamond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Toshiro Montero! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Montero lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Diamond has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Diamond and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Montero moves out of range as Diamond strikes. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Montero has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Diamond scores with the left hand. Montero knows he should have avoided that one. Diamond uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Montero. Montero tries a head kick but it misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Montero.
Montero throws a leg kick but Diamond sees it coming and moves out of range. Montero uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Diamond. Montero throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Montero has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Diamond finds it's way round the side to connect with Montero's head. Montero throws a jab when Diamond was well out of range. A punch combination from Diamond misses. Diamond tries to bum rush Montero with a series of wild strikes but Montero uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A slow jab from Diamond misses its intended target. A chopping leg kick lands by Montero. An inside leg kick lands from Montero. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diamond swings widly with a right hand
and Montero counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Diamond! Montero is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diamond has escaped the position, nice work there. Diamond prevents Montero from improving position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diamond looking for a sweep but Montero has passed into full mount! Oh no! Diamond is desperately trying to improve his position but Montero has a good base and remains in mount. Montero looking to control but Diamond is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Montero controlling his opponent. Diamond tries to hold on but Montero postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Montero trying to control but he's not successful this time. Montero pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Diamond is squirming around, avoiding Montero's attempts to control the action. Diamond prevents Montero from taking his back. Montero content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diamond working to try and regain half guard.
Montero moves to take his opponent's back. Montero looking for the RNC. Diamond is trying to defend against the choke here but Montero has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Montero Tightens the hold and Diamond taps out furiously! Montero displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Toshiro Montero! Toshiro Montero bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it. King Diamond spoke after the fight, saying 'Thanks to all the fans, I'll be back!!'.
