Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samak Tiyapairat (ranked 3970 p4p, 432 weight class) and Sergey Chernishev (ranked 3057 p4p, 348 weight class). Tiyapairat comes to the cage accompanied by Ram Muay. Chernishev is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by MC Hovanskiy - Father in the building. On his way into the cage it seems that Samak Tiyapairat has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Samak Tiyapairat seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sergey Chernishev! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiyapairat tries to clinch but Chernishev moves out of range. Tiyapairat throws a solid leg kick but Chernishev takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Tiyapairat. Tiyapairat looks to clinch and Chernishev decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tiyapairat's guard. Tiyapairat is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Chernishev is looking to work some ground and pound but Tiyapairat has wrist control. Chernishev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tiyapairat works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Chernishev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tiyapairat avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chernishev throws a strike but Tiyapairat rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Chernishev pulls Tiyapairat in close to his closed guard and prevents Tiyapairat from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chernishev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tiyapairat's guard. Chernishev controlling from the top position. Chernishev cracks Tiyapairat with a solid left hand. Chernishev is working the ground and pound from guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiyapairat takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Tiyapairat parries the strikes from Chernishev easily there. Chernishev is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tiyapairat to escape.
Chernishev lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tiyapairat down.
The referee asks Chernishev politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Chernishev prefers to stall for the moment though. Chernishev is working Tiyapairat over with some ground and pound from side control.
Tiyapairat is rocked! Tiyapairat seems a little lost for a moment, as Chernishev dominates the positioning. Tiyapairat is breathing heavily. Tiyapairat takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Oh Tiyapairat is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Tiyapairat is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Chernishev scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Tiyapairat is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Chernishev can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
