Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Very Rounded!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
38 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafael Amaral!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rounded closes the distance looking to clinch
and Amaral makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rounded really felt that one!
Rounded with a poor takedown
and Amaral counters with a straight right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Rounded. Those never looked like landing.
Amaral steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Rounded throws a left and a right that both miss
and Amaral counters with a nice kick to the body.
Rounded wants to clinch
and Amaral counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rounded misses with a body punch
and Amaral connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rounded tries to clinch but Amaral moves away
enabling Amaral to counter with a crisp jab.
Rounded on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rounded throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Amaral counters with a nice body shot.
Rounded is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rounded misses with a leg kick
enabling Amaral to counter with a crisp jab.
Amaral has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Amaral cracks a nice hook into Rounded's ribs.
Rounded throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Amaral scores with a counter punch that sends Rounded to the canvas! Amaral smells blood - he's punishing Rounded with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Rounded has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael Amaral!
Rafael Amaral took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I'm not surprised mother fuckers!'.
