Silva has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Oscar Silva has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Silva is posturing up here but Jones has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Silva tries to roll out but it's too tight and Silva has to tap! Slick submission there by Jones!
