Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Four (ranked 5323 p4p, 534 weight class) and Jim Sterntz (ranked 7130 p4p, 611 weight class). Jim Sterntz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mr Four! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Sterntz! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sterntz takes the fight into the clinch. Sterntz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Four.
Four drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sterntz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Four misses with a body shot.
Sterntz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Four paws at him with a jab and circles away. Four gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sterntz to score an easy takedown into full guard. Four has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sterntz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Four looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Four on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Four tries to get out of the position. Sterntz trying to control the position from guard on top but Four is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sterntz lands a couple of elbows. Sterntz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sterntz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Four utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sterntz stopping the sweep attempt from Four.

Sterntz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sterntz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Four is proving hard to escape from. Sterntz wants to control from the top but Four keeps moving. Four had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sterntz defends it easily. Sterntz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Four swivels though and keeps the full guard. Four utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Four is controlling Sterntz's posture. Sterntz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Four manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sterntz manages to get himself to full guard.

Four lands a couple of digs. Four is in close to Sterntz's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sterntz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Four gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Four preventing the sweep. Sterntz wants to stand but Four is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sterntz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Four doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Four manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sterntz wants to control from the top but Four keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sterntz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Four is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sterntz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sterntz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Four has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sterntz has managed to get both his arms back between Four's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Four is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are battling for position here. Four manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Four keeping moving, preventing Sterntz from controlling successfully. Sterntz preventing the sweep. Sterntz passes Four's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Four tries to roll over but Sterntz keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Sterntz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

He lands a short punch in the meantime. Four lands strikes from half guard. Sterntz is pressing down on Four's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sterntz has his feet on Four's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Four is trying to get an arm triangle but Sterntz is defending well. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Four thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sterntz gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Four trying to pass the guard but Sterntz defending well. Sterntz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sterntz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nice strikes from Four there.
And that's the end of the fight! Mr Four showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sterntz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
