Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wang Long (ranked 5825 p4p, 0 weight class) and River William (ranked 6078 p4p, 535 weight class). William has chosen Holding on for Life as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wang Long! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, River William! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! William clinches up with Long and pushes him back against the cage. Long manages to break the clinch.
William shoots for a takedown but Long saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A combination from William does no damage. Long attempts a counter takedown but William avoids it well and moves away. William misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
William wants to clinch up but Long keeps it at a distance. Long on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
William shoots and misses and Long counters with a nice double leg into side control. William won't be happy with that. Long happy to just control the position for now. Long could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. William wants to get back to his feet. Long lands a few punches from side control. William really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Long. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. William is working to avoid the ground and pound but Long connects with a decent elbow. Long works to advance to full mount. William defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Long lands a couple of good shots and William has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Long working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Long has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for William. Long lands with a hammerfist to the side of William's head. Long controls the position. Long's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Long lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good control from Long. Further stalling from Long. Long punches William on the ear. William is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Long looking to break William's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. William remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Long will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Long throwing damaging strikes from the back! William could be in trouble here!
William is rocked! William covers up after that shot from Long.
William is still in real trouble! Can Long finish him? Long biding his time, looking for the opening.
William seems to have recovered his senses.

Long is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. William is defending well though. Long let's go of the attempt for now. Long is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften William up.
A helpless look comes across William 's face. He knows he's trapped as Long lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wang Long! In defeat, River William stepped up to the mic, saying 'I learn from this.'.
