Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Meredith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vader kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Vader kong enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kong darts in and clinches Meredith up against the cage.
Meredith looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
kong manages to pull guard.
kong wants to stand up but Meredith is controlling him.
Meredith forces his way into half guard.
kong wants to get back to full guard.
kong is trying to stand back up but Meredith is controlling him
Meredith is pressing down on kong's thigh, looking to free his foot. kong is holding on for now.

Some bone on bone action there as Meredith checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from kong.

kong scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

kong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Meredith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Meredith wants to break the clinch but can't.

Lee Meredith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vader kong.

kong goes for a takedown attempt but Meredith pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Meredith shoots for a double leg takedown but kong sprawls well. He's pushed Meredith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
kong can't break the clinch.
Meredith fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

kong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Meredith circles away quickly and effectively.
kong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Meredith, pushing him back against the cage.

Nice body punch from kong - that landed with a thud.
kong scores with a shot to the side of Meredith's head.
kong has had enough of the clinch but Meredith keeps him there for the moment.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
kong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Meredith manages to avoid it.
Meredith pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
kong scores with a decent looking hook.
kong throws a series of punches but Meredith moves out of range.
Meredith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by kong.
kong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Meredith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from kong.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meredith on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
kong keeps control of Meredith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if kong can do anything to dispel that myth.
Meredith won't allow kong to get back to his feet.

Meredith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Meredith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Meredith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
kong is doing well to control the position and prevent Meredith from advancing to side control.

Meredith wants to work for an arm triangle but kong is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Meredith seems to be looking for submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Meredith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. kong looks calm but he's in trouble here. Meredith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. kong is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Meredith lets go of the hold and kong can pop his arm back in it's socket.
