Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chiharu Shiba (ranked 2182 p4p, 216 weight class) and Har Ambe (ranked 1981 p4p, 205 weight class). Shiba's entrance music is Godsmack - Immune & Sick Puppies - Survive . A fine choice. Ambe has chosen Rittz - For Real as his entrance music. Chiharu Shiba is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chiharu Shiba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Har Ambe! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ambe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ambe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Shiba tries to improve position but can't. Shiba is working hard here to advance position. Shiba knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ambe on the ground. Ambe cracks Shiba with an elbow. That is naaassty. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ambe scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Shiba to see if he's OK. Ambe wants to control for a moment but Shiba uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Ambe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shiba has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ambe is working away from the top position though. Ambe thows a huge punch but Shiba dodges it nicely.

Shiba has hold of Ambe's hands but Ambe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Shiba keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Shiba is trying to maintain the position but Ambe is very close to passing his half guard. Shiba looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Ambe prevents Shiba from improving his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Shiba tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ambe unloads with some shots from mount but Shiba bucks and avoids them well.

Ambe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Shiba can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ambe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Shiba dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ambe misses with a straight right. Shiba connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Shiba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Shiba clinches with his opponent.

Ambe keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shiba's efforts to push away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A body shot lands from Shiba.

Ambe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shiba paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shiba lands a jab to the nose. Shiba keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ambe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ambe pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Shiba catches Ambe napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Ambe to the canvas!
Ambe is rocked! Ambe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Shiba. Ambe is still in real trouble! Can Shiba finish him? Shiba is stalling in the full guard. Shiba wants to control from the top but Ambe keeps moving. Ambe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ambe is looking for a triangle but Shiba pushes his legs off easily.
Ambe seems to have recovered his senses. Shiba seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ambe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shiba stays in close to Ambe's body and controls the position. Ambe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ambe keeping moving, preventing Shiba from controlling successfully. Shiba seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Shiba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ambe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Shiba scores with a nice head shot. Ambe misses the jab. Ambe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shiba sees it coming and avoids it easily. Shiba fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Ambe has Shiba up against the cage in a clinch.

Shiba slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
