Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Polo (ranked 5874 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Jones (ranked 5921 p4p, 522 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donnie Polo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, CJ Jones! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Polo. Polo went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Polo circles away quickly and effectively. Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A jab from Jones does it's job there.
It looks like Donnie Polo has been cut. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.

and Polo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jones misses with a double jab.

Polo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Despite the aggression on Jones's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones avoids the head kick by Polo.

It looked like Polo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jones. Polo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Polo gets slowly back to his feet. Jab by Jones. Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones. CJ Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones lands a left and a right that send Polo crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Polo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones lands a two punch combo.

Polo seems to have got his legs back now. Jones goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Polo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Polo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Polo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get! Polo drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Polo blocks a body shot from Jones. Polo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Polo darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage. Polo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jones throws a series of punches but Polo avoids them all with ease. Polo tries to counter by clinching up but Jones breaks away and moves out of range. Polo pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Polo effectively controlling the action here. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jones. Jones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Jones throws a punch but it's blocked by Polo. Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Polo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A jab from Jones misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Jones is working the combinations to good effect here. Polo clinches with his opponent.
Polo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Polo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Donnie Polo's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Polo counters with a one-two to the body. A punch combination from Jones misses. Polo seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Polo. Jones shrugs it off though. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Polo circles away quickly and effectively. Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Polo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Left hook, right uppercut from Jones.

He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Polo is figuring out what he wants to do next. Polo wants to free his trapped foot but Jones is holding on for dear life with his legs. Polo trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Polo is on him like a limpet, forcing Jones back against the cage. Jones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Polo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away. Jones being controlled against the cage. Jones can't find room to land a body shot as Polo controls the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to push Polo away but Polo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Polo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away. Polo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jones tries to throw a body punch but Polo avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage. Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Polo uses good head movement to avoid it. and Polo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Polo. Polo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jones is trying to break free. Jones throws a punch but it's blocked by Polo. Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Jones throws a punch but it's blocked by Polo. Jones tries to circle away but Polo has him pinned against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jones. Polo keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Polo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jones cracks Polo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Jones lands with a nice combination. Polo backs away looking to recover.

Jones misses with a looping right. As Jones looks to move away, Polo throws a big counter combo but Jones just gets out of the way. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Polo circles away quickly and effectively. Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Polo avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Donnie Polo's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Polo prevents Jones from breaking the clinch. Jones tries to circle away but Polo has him pinned against the cage. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Polo keeps him there for the moment. Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Polo prevents a body shot from Jones. A frustrated look appears on Jones's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jones tries to break the clinch but Polo is controlling the position. Polo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Polo manages to end up in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Polo taking a breather here. Jones is not content to let Polo control the position. Donnie Polo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jones is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Polo advances to mount. Polo trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Polo get's back to his feet. Polo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. As Jones looks to move away, Polo throws a big counter combo but Jones just gets out of the way. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Polo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Polo throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease. Jones unleashes a big counter combination but Polo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
