Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Winter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samuel Kain! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kain shoots in looking for a takedown. Winter tries to sprawl out of it but Kain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Winter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Winter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kain struggling a bit here. Kain manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kain is working for a submission of some sort.
Winter is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winter tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Kain trying to control the action but Winter is working from the bottom. Winter wants to get back to his feet.
Kain is just content to waste time from the top position. Winter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Winter working for a triangle but Kain defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Winter wants to stand up but Kain is controlling him. Winter working for a triangle but Kain defends it easily.
Kain drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Winter dives on top into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kain working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Winter. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winter scoring with punches to the head and body. Winter is in close to Kain's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kain controls Winter momentarily but Winter frees himself. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Winter lands a couple of elbows. Winter is working Kain over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kain looking to hit a scissor sweep but Winter is one step ahead there. Kain has momentary wrist control but Winter slips an elbow through the middle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Winter postures up and lands a big shot to Kain's brow. Kain is still in real trouble! Can Winter finish him? Winter throws a big right hand that misses. Kain seems to have recovered his senses. Kain has momentary wrist control but Winter slips an elbow through the middle. Winter with a nice head shot there. Kain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Winter distracts Kain with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Winter lands a couple of digs. Kain thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Winter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Winter scoring with punches to the head and body. Winter lands a couple of decent looking shots. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Winter landing with the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Winter dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Winter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Winter is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kain has hold of Winter's hands but Winter slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Winter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Winter is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Kain is hurt! He's hurt bad - Winter fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Kain from any more punishment! Congratulations to Winter! Great finish!
