Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Gilmore (ranked 2062 p4p, 252 weight class) and Kenny Knight (ranked 2766 p4p, 317 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Gilmore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Knight!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Knight there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gilmore misses with a body shot.

Knight darts in and clinches Gilmore up against the cage.
Knight tries to pull guard but Gilmore forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Knight doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Knight pulls guard.

Knight working for submissions but it's allowed Gilmore to get to half guard.
Gilmore is taking a breather. Knight says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Knight is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gilmore pulls his head out easily.
Knight is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gilmore wants to control but Knight is keeping him busy.

Knight has one foot on Gilmore's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Knight throws a good cross that connects.
Knight lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gilmore at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gilmore misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Knight counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A shot to the body from Gilmore misses
and Knight counters with a head kick. That will keep Gilmore thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Knight has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

enabling Knight to counter with a crisp jab.
Knight is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Gilmore hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kenny Knight!
An out of breath Kenny Knight thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Anthony Gilmore was interviewed post fight and said 'This is going to be my last fight, thank you fan for everything you've all done for me. But it's time for me to move on and take a break for awhile my time here I've been through a lot and you know am still young, but I will back someday and fight for the title love you guys! '.
