The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It seemed like McNeal was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and McNeal counters with a left and a right that stings Weight.

Weight definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

and McNeal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Weight throws a looping overhand right but McNeal ducks down to avoid it.

Weight feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McNeal sprawling to the canvas! McNeal rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Weight finish him?!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from McNeal in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

A relieved looking Hoddy McNeal thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
