Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eldar Tskhadaia (ranked 957 p4p, 101 weight class) and Doug Bell (ranked 559 p4p, 58 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eldar Tskhadaia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doug Bell!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tskhadaia shoots in for a double leg but Bell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tskhadaia fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tskhadaia drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bell is looking to reverse the position.

Bell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tskhadaia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tskhadaia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tskhadaia is nestled in close to Bell, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bell is not content to let Tskhadaia control the position.
We've been hearing that Tskhadaia has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Bell felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tskhadaia thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bell's head.
Bell is looking for a sweep. Tskhadaia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bell in particular looking to stall.
Tskhadaia won't allow Bell to pass to mount.
Tskhadaia is looking for a sweep. Bell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tskhadaia takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Tskhadaia goes for a double leg but Bell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bell continues to drive forward.
Doug Bell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tskhadaia.
Bell darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Bell drops Tskhadaia with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tskhadaia looks back up at him and smiles so Bell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Tskhadaia is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bell feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Tskhadaia sprawling to the canvas! Tskhadaia rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bell finish him?!
Oh Tskhadaia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bell circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Tskhadaia to the canvas! Tskhadaia doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Bell keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doug Bell!
